Is Mardi Gras on the same day every year?
Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday is on the same day every year, but not the same date! The season always begins on the Twelfth Night (12 days after Christmas) and ends 40 days before Easter, the day before Ash Wednesday.
Do you only ship to the 50 United States?
Yes. There is an additional charge for shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.
May I pre-order for delivery at a later date?
Certainly. We accept orders in advance of shipping. The only time restrictions are that we need 48 hours to process most orders. This is because our cakes are made fresh, and are shipped UPS Next Day to you.
Do you ship every day of the week?
Starting this year we ship only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays for delivery on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. In our 31 years of shipping King Cakes we have found that on this schedule our customers will receive the freshest cake possible. During Mardi Gras we will ship Mon, Tues, Wed, & Thurs.
Can I refrigerate my King Cake?
Yes. A King Cake will stay fresh longer if refrigerated. It can be kept in a refrigerator for up to a week and can even be frozen for up to 3 months! Before serving simply remove it from the plastic bag and serve at room temperature.
Why is there a $15 service fee for changes/cancellations after I place my order?
Any changes require a manual override to our automated system. This is a time intensive process. We urge our customers to enter the correct information so that this fee is never incurred.
Can I get a refund if my package is late due to inclement weather?
Under the terms of our shipping agreement with UPS, we are not responsible for packages that are late or not delivered due to Acts of God/Inclement Weather/UPS Mechanical Malfunctions.
